Questions Patients Often Ask
What happens at my first chiropractic visit?
Your first visit includes a one-on-one consultation and a thorough chiropractic examination. Dr. Kara discusses your health history, concerns, and goals, then assesses areas such as your spine, posture, and range of motion. X-rays may be recommended depending on your history and examination.
Will I receive an adjustment at my first appointment?
Hand in Hand normally uses a two-visit onboarding process, so the first adjustment is planned for the second visit when care is appropriate. This gives Dr. Kara time to review the examination and any X-rays before explaining the findings and recommendations.
What happens at the second chiropractic visit?
At the second visit, Dr. Kara reviews the examination findings, explains any X-rays that were taken, and discusses an individualized care plan. If chiropractic care is appropriate and the patient is ready to proceed, the care plan can begin with the first adjustment.
How is my chiropractic care plan created?
The care plan is based on the patient’s history, examination findings, concerns, and goals. Dr. Kara explains the findings and recommendations so the patient can understand the proposed next steps and ask questions.
Do you accept insurance or offer payment options?
Hand in Hand is an out-of-network practice and does not bill commercial insurance directly. Most HSA and FSA payment methods are accepted, flexible payment options are available, and patients may request a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on the individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
